Safety
A safety system that is actually used
Our Safety Management System is run day to day inside the operations platform: hazards are registered and risk-rated, occurrences are reported and investigated, and corrective actions carry an owner and a due date.
Hazard register
Each hazard records the activity, initial risk rating, existing controls, residual risk, responsible person and review date. The register is reviewed at the monthly safety meeting.
Occurrence reporting
Crew and ground staff report incidents, accidents, near misses, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and observations. Reporting is protected under our just-culture policy.
Investigation
Reportable occurrences are investigated to root cause, with immediate actions, findings and close-out recorded against the original report.
Safety performance
We track occurrence rates, overdue actions, audit findings and training compliance as safety performance indicators, reviewed against alert levels each quarter.
Our commitment
“No commercial or operational pressure will ever override a safety decision made by the pilot in command. Crew who stop a flight on safety grounds will be supported, every time.”
